Enhancing DALL-E with Editing Tools and Style Prompts

OpenAI's latest enhancements to DALL-E, now in its third iteration, aim to streamline the user experience and provide more guidance for generating AI-created images. These upgrades include integrated image editing tools accessible within ChatGPT on both web and mobile platforms, as well as preset style suggestions to inspire image creation.
The addition of these features builds upon DALL-E's integration with ChatGPT, which simplifies the process for users by allowing them to convey their image ideas directly to the AI. The new style prompts offer users starting points by suggesting various styles such as woodcut, gothic, synthwave, and hand-drawn, accompanied by examples for reference. However, users are still responsible for refining their creations from these prompts.
Addressing concerns regarding the trustworthiness of AI-generated images, OpenAI implemented visible watermarks and metadata in DALL-E 3 earlier this year as a step towards increasing transparency. Nonetheless, challenges remain as these markers can be removed by malicious actors.
While OpenAI continues to tackle this issue, users can now experiment with creating imaginative images with the assistance of DALL-E's enhanced features, like envisioning a sci-fi polar bear enjoying a vacation.
