Google Photos could soon look a little different, based on a leaked survey shared with Android Authority. The potential redesign appears to focus on improving navigation and search functionality, making it easier to manage your photo library. While the changes seem subtle at first, they could have a big impact on how users interact with their images.
Google reportedly asked users to compare the current layout with a redesigned version, rating its modernity. Key updates include rounded image borders, larger Memories action buttons, and a revamped Today section, which may introduce advanced filtering options. Instead of a checkmark to select all photos from a day, users might soon be able to filter images based on location or people.
Another major shift is in the bottom navigation. The familiar Photos, Collections, and Search tabs may be replaced with a floating search bar and a new collections icon, streamlining photo discovery. As Google’s AI-powered search improves, these changes could make finding specific images faster and more intuitive.
