GTA 6 has received another round of pre-launch attention, with new screenshots, fresh gameplay footage and music to hear. Edge's latest preview brings a closer look at Leonida. A short clip shown in South Park reveals an unusually messy interaction. Meanwhile, Justice's new single “Pusher,” featuring Gesaffelstein, offers another taste of the game's original score.
The dates need separating from the headlines. The Edge images and Rockstar's score announcement appeared on October 29, with coverage continuing on October 30. The complete soundtrack albums are still ahead. What fans can access now is a collection of images, a brief gameplay scene and selected songs.
Together, the updates cover three different parts of the game: the world players will explore, the interactions within it, and its sound. Here is what each release actually adds.
New screenshots put Jason, Lucia and Leonida in focus
The new image batch accompanies Edge's cover story. Insider Gaming's October 29 gallery identifies 12 new screenshots, including fresh views of Jason and Lucia. The coverage also points to Grassrivers and Ambrosia, expanding the latest look beyond central Vice City.
These are publisher-provided images accompanying a press feature. That makes their origin different from the leaked development material that has circulated around the game. Readers can follow the gallery to view the batch and compare the characters, environments and outfits for themselves.
The lead image above shows Lucia leaning from a vehicle window with a rifle while Jason drives. Other images in the feature show a nighttime motorcycle ride, wetlands travel and bikers gathered outdoors. Those scenes give the article a broader visual range than a single city skyline.
Still images are useful for examining art direction and small environmental details. They cannot establish how consistently a game runs or how an entire mission plays. The accompanying preview provides the context that a screenshot alone cannot offer.
What Edge's gameplay preview describes
In the original Edge feature, Rockstar's Rob Nelson plays the current build for about 90 minutes. The demonstration moves through ordinary activities and encounters rather than following a scripted presentation. It begins with Jason inside an apartment before he heads into the street.
The report describes pedestrians responding to the player's behavior, including prolonged staring and visible weapons. Rockstar also discusses personality traits that influence how people react. The idea is to make encounters vary according to the person and circumstances.
Weather is another focus. Edge describes distant storms, wet roads that gradually dry, and wind affecting water and aircraft. These details concern systems that can influence movement through the world, rather than a simple change in sky color.
The feature also introduces a Criminal Profile, tracking behavior from professional to highly violent. Rockstar says those choices affect the story. Jason and Lucia's closeness can develop through time spent together, though their partnership remains central to the narrative.
That is the useful context behind the image release: the pictures arrive with a demonstration of how parts of Leonida interact.
South Park shows a short, strange gameplay scene
A separate reveal arrived through South Park. GamesRadar's report describes roughly 20 seconds of GTA 6 footage involving Jason, a pedestrian and a dog. The scene ends with Jason using dog mess against the pedestrian.
It is a crude example of the game's environmental interactions, presented through the show's humor. The sequence offers a small glimpse of player actions and character reactions. It is not a full mission demonstration or a replacement for a longer gameplay presentation.
The narration adds a familiar connection for longtime fans. Tish Hicks, who narrated GTA 5's official gameplay video in 2013, voices the explanation in the episode. That detail links the unusual reveal to an earlier piece of Grand Theft Auto promotion.
For readers catching up through reposted clips, the South Park appearance is the source to identify. Calling it simply a new trailer loses the context of how the footage was presented.
Justice releases “Pusher,” with the score album still to come
Rockstar's official music page now links to “Pusher,” credited to Justice featuring Gesaffelstein. It sits alongside “Flower in a Hurricane,” which features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The latter was already available before this latest announcement.
Justice's full original-score album arrives on December 11. Rockstar lists 30 tracks, along with digital bonus tracks across the available formats. Streaming, CD and vinyl releases are planned. The French duo consists of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay.
The music is described as an adaptive score. Its compositions change with how players engage with Vice City and Leonida during Jason and Lucia's story. That describes its role during play; it does not identify a specific mission for “Pusher.”
Listeners can use the official page's full-track links now. The page also offers previews of selected radio stations, giving fans a separate way to sample the game's music before launch.
The soundtrack album is a separate release
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album arrives on November 19, alongside the game. Rockstar announced it in September as a collection of 34 original tracks from multiple artists. Physical editions include vinyl and CD, alongside the digital release.
The distinction is straightforward: the various-artists album launches in November, while the Justice score album follows in December. Selected singles can be heard ahead of both. Neither release date means that the complete album is already available.
That also explains why a music roundup needs to separate a newly released song from an older single. “Pusher” is the fresh release in this update. The official page collects music from different announcement dates, so everything listed there should not be described as newly released together.
Rockstar's current GTA VI page continues to list November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official page does not currently give a PC release date. PC timing claims therefore remain separate from the confirmed console launch. These latest releases offer several ways to follow the final weeks before launch: browse the screenshots, read the full preview, watch the short gameplay scene, or listen to the available tracks.
