VIDEO: Grimsby 2 – 2 Manchester United Highlights |Watch Now | Carabao Qualifiers

Manchester United hit a new low under Ruben Amorim after being eliminated by fourth-tier Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup. In a dramatic second-round tie at Blundell Park, Grimsby triumphed 12-11 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation.
United looked headed for disaster early, trailing 2-0 at halftime through goals from Charles Vernam and former United youth player Tyrell Warren, who capitalized on another André Onana error. Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire scored late to drag United back, forcing a shootout.
Onana saved one spot kick and Matheus Cunha squandered the chance to win it, before Mbeumo smashed his effort off the crossbar to seal United’s exit.
The result is historic: the first time United have ever been knocked out of a cup competition by a team from England’s fourth tier. For Grimsby, currently fourth in League Two, it’s a night to remember; for United, it’s yet another embarrassment under a manager already under pressure.
