Manchester City staged a dramatic 3-1 comeback win against Chelsea at the Etihad, moving up to fourth in the Premier League. The match started badly for City’s new signing, Abdukodir Khusanov, whose mishit backpass allowed Chelsea’s Noni Madueke to score within the first three minutes. Khusanov was also booked shortly after for a late tackle on Cole Palmer. Despite the early setback, City responded strongly. Josko Gvardiol equalized just before halftime, and Khusanov was substituted for John Stones in the second half. City dominated the remainder of the game, with Erling Haaland scoring in the 68th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Phil Foden sealed the win with a goal in the 87th minute after a brilliant assist from Haaland. City have now won four of their last five matches and sit above Newcastle United on goal difference, with tough fixtures against Arsenal, Newcastle, and Liverpool ahead. Chelsea, on the other hand, drop to sixth place, one point behind City.
