Chelsea have lost for the second time in their pre-season campaign as Manchester City beat the Blues 4-2 at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus.
A poor opening few minutes from Chelsea saw them caught out twice when trying to play out from the back. Erling Haaland scored a quick-fire double to hand the Premier League champions a two-goal advantage very early on in front of almost 70,000 supporters.
That is how the score stayed until the break, before Oscar Bobb and Haaland added another quick couple of goals early in the second half, in what was Chelsea’s penultimate match of their pre-season tour of the United States. Raheem Sterling got one back and then Noni Madueke halved the deficit for the game to end 4-2.
