In front of a packed crowd at Rabat’s Olympic Stadium, Morocco took an early 2-0 lead through goals from Ghizlane Chebbak and Sanaa Msouddy. However, Nigeria responded in the second half, starting with Esther Okoronkwo’s penalty. Folashade Ijamilusi leveled the score in the 71st minute before substitute Jennifer Echegini netted the dramatic winner in the 88th. Despite strong resistance from Morocco and late VAR drama, Nigeria held on through added time. This victory completes Nigeria’s “Mission X,” while Morocco suffers heartbreak, losing back-to-back finals on home soil.
