Arsenal cruised into the Champions League semifinals with a commanding 2-1 win over Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, sealing a 5-1 aggregate victory. After a dominant 3-0 first-leg display, the Gunners showed no signs of letting up. Bukayo Saka’s cool finish in the 65th minute silenced the Madrid faithful and put the tie firmly out of reach. Although Vinícius Júnior quickly pulled one back following a defensive lapse, it did little to inspire a comeback. Real, 15-time champions, looked a shadow of their former selves, offering little resistance as Arsenal remained composed and confident. Gabriel Martinelli added a late goal in stoppage time to underline their dominance. It’s Arsenal’s first Champions League semifinal since 2009, where they will now face Paris Saint-Germain. Declan Rice, instrumental in the first leg, reflected on the night’s significance, calling it “a historic night” for the club. “We had so much belief,” he said. Arsenal’s blend of discipline and attacking flair proved too much for Madrid.
