Apple’s iPhone 16 Event Set for September 9: What to Expect
Apple is gearing up for its next major event, scheduled for 10 a.m. PT on Monday, September 9, at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. The event, which will be live-streamed globally, is expected to showcase the new iPhone 16 series. Apple has sent out press invitations featuring a glowing logo in shades of blue, purple, pink, and orange, along with the tagline “It’s Glowtime.”
The iPhone 16 lineup is anticipated to include the base iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Rumors point to several upgrades, including larger displays, enhanced cameras, and the introduction of a new Capture Button across all models.
In addition to the iPhone 16 series, Apple is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 10 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Although details on the new watches are scarce, the Series 10 may feature larger displays and slimmer bodies, but no significant new health features are anticipated.
There is also speculation about the release of new base model AirPods at the event, although updates to the AirPods Pro or AirPods Max are not expected. While Apple may announce new iPads and MacBooks later in the year, these are unlikely to be part of the September 9 event.
The new iPhones and Apple Watches are expected to be available for purchase starting September 20. Stay tuned for more updates as the event approaches.
