Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Leak: Specs and Features Revealed

With just three weeks until Google unveils its new smartphone lineup, rumors about the Google Pixel 9 series are swirling. Recently, photos purportedly showing the Pixel 9 Pro XL were posted on the XDA Forums by user Pourelle.

The leaked images suggest that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will come with at least 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, marking the first time a Pixel phone surpasses the 12GB RAM mark.

Additionally, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to feature a Samsung Exynos 5400 modem, an upgrade from the Exynos 5300 found in the Pixel 8 series. Samsung announced this new modem earlier this year, touting data speeds of up to 14.79Gbps. Both the Exynos 5400 and Google’s Tensor G4, anticipated in the Pixel 9 series, are built on a 4nm process.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL will be the first “XL” Pixel phone since the Pixel 4 XL in 2019. It is expected to share many features with the Pixel 9 Pro, including a larger 6.5-inch display compared to the 6.1-inch display of the smaller Pixel 9 Pro. Both models are likely to include primary, ultrawide, and telephoto cameras, potentially with a new camera visor design.

Google is set to announce the Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, at the Made by Google event on Tuesday, August 13.

Last week, Google teased the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold on YouTube, hinting at the inclusion of Google Gemini, an AI tool. A new video highlighting the Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to be released before the August 13 event.
