These days, many people choose to keep their phone numbers hidden. There are several reasons for this, the most common of which is to avoid spam or other unsolicited calls. However, having a valid phone number is crucial if you plan on running any kind of business on telegram. Luckily for you, there are several ways to hide your phone number on Telegram and keep it from public view.
To sign up for Telegram, you must first submit your phone number. This is how Telegram verifies your identity. However, you do not have to use your phone number to use Telegram. Here’s how to hide your phone number in Telegram.
You can add users to Telegram in two ways: by using their phone numbers, or by using unique usernames (similar to Twitter).
- Navigate to the “Settings” tab in the Telegram app.
- Select the “Privacy and Security” option.
- Navigate to the “Phone Number” section.
There’s a section called “Who Can See My Phone Number” here. If you only want to reveal your phone number to those in your contact book, you can change the setting to “My Contacts” (and hide it from everyone else).
Tap the “Nobody” option if you wish to keep it hidden from everyone.
If you select this option, a new section called “Who Can Find Me By My Number” will appear. The “My Contacts” option is the default. Users who have your phone number in their contact book will only see it if they are in your contacts list in this manner.
Switch to the “Everybody” option if you want anyone who has your phone number saved in their contact list to see it on Telegram.
