“Made by Google” Event Date and How to Watch

Google is gearing up for its next major event on August 13, 2024, and it promises to be a thrilling occasion with several anticipated hardware announcements. This year’s event will likely focus on the new Pixel 9 lineup, the Pixel Watch 3, and possibly other exciting gadgets.

Event Date and How to Watch

The “Made by Google” event is scheduled for August 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. The event will take place at Google’s Bay View campus in Mountain View, California.

You can watch the event live on Google’s official website or catch the recording later on YouTube. For those near Mountain View, Google is also hosting a Watch Party at the Google Customer Experience Center, but an RSVP on the event page is required.

What to Expect: Pixel 9 Lineup

The highlight of the event is expected to be the unveiling of the Pixel 9 lineup, which includes four models this year:

  • Pixel 9
  • Pixel 9 Pro
  • Pixel 9 Pro XL
  • Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro

The Pixel 9 will feature a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with thinner, more uniform bezels and improved durability, thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It will have a dual-camera system with a 50MP main camera and a 48MP or 50MP ultrawide lens. Inside, it’s expected to run on the Tensor G4 chip with 12GB of RAM.

The Pixel 9 Pro models will include a 6.3-inch display for the standard Pro and a 6.8-inch Super Actua OLED display for the XL version. Both models will feature a triple-camera system and come equipped with Tensor G4 chips and 16GB of RAM.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Google’s second-generation folding phone, will feature a 6.3-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner display. It will house a triple-camera system with a 48MP main camera and 10MP ultrawide and telephoto lenses, alongside the Tensor G4 chip and 16GB RAM.

Additional Announcements: Pixel Watch 3 and More

Alongside the Pixel 9 series, Google is also set to reveal the Pixel Watch 3, which will now come in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm. The new watches are expected to feature higher-quality displays with increased brightness. The event may also introduce the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which could sport a redesigned look, new colors, and other enhancements.

AI Innovations and Other Surprises

As usual, Google is likely to showcase new AI-driven features integrated into its products, taking full advantage of the upgraded hardware across the Pixel 9 series. The teaser videos released by Google suggest that AI will play a significant role in enhancing the user experience of these new devices.
