Motorola Unveils Next-Gen Razr and AI Upgrades
Motorola has announced a major event for June 25, 2024, hinting at the reveal of new Razr phones and some AI features with slogans like “Flip the script” and “Intelligence inside and out.”
On X (formerly Twitter), Motorola teased the event, strongly suggesting we’ll see the Razr 2024 and Razr Plus 2024, which are also hinted at in a short video clip.
AI is a big trend in mobile tech, and it looks like Motorola will showcase new AI capabilities in the Razr lineup. The teaser hints at “intelligence inside and out,” pointing to advanced features.
Rumors give us some details about the upcoming Razr series. The Razr 50, expected to be called the Razr (2024) in the U.S., will feature a larger 3.63-inch cover display, a significant upgrade from the previous 1.5-inch display. If the price remains at $699, this is a notable improvement. The high-end Razr Plus (2024) might come with a 4-inch cover display, up from the 3.6-inch display of the 2023 model. Both models are expected to have a 6.9-inch inner display with a better refresh rate.
In terms of cameras, the Razr (2024) could have a 50-megapixel main camera and a 13MP telephoto camera. The Razr Plus might feature two 50MP cameras, with one having a 2x optical zoom.
Internally, the Razr (2024) may come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chip and 8GB of RAM, while the Razr Plus (2024) could have a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and 12GB of RAM. Battery-wise, the Razr (2024) is expected to have a 4,200mAh battery, and the Razr Plus (2024) might have a 4,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
With the event just around the corner, it won’t be long until we see these new flip phones from Motorola.
