Reddit is currently experiencing a major outage affecting the entire site and all subreddits. Visitors are encountering a “Server error. Try again later” message with a red banner at the top of the site, which also appears on individual posts and subreddits. According to Reddit’s status page, the site is undergoing “degraded performance” and engineers are investigating the issue. The outage began shortly after 4 PM ET, with the most recent status update posted at 4:16 PM ET. This problem follows a similar incident in April when Reddit experienced a complete outage due to a back-end issue. In recent months, Reddit has been dealing with AI bots, negotiating with OpenAI, and recently achieved a $6.5 billion valuation.
