Samsung Galaxy Watch 7: Is It Compatible with the iPhone?

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 might not seem very different from its predecessor, but it has some important new features. The watch now comes in a stylish green color and keeps the classic rounded design with a bright edge-to-edge display. Inside, there’s a new five-core Exynos W1000 chip that triples the performance of the Galaxy Watch 6. It also has upgraded health sensors, a more accurate GPS, and the first FDA-approved Sleep Apnea feature.

Despite these enhancements, the Apple Watch remains the best choice for iPhone users due to its full compatibility. Samsung no longer supports iPhone with its Galaxy Watch line since the Galaxy Watch 3 in 2020, making the Galaxy Watch 7 an Android-only device.

For the best experience, use the Galaxy Watch 7 with a Samsung phone. Samsung’s control over both the phone and watch software ensures smooth integration, especially with new AI features. However, the watch can still work with any Android phone running Android 11 or later, provided it has at least 1.5GB of memory and Google Mobile Services. The Samsung Health app, necessary for health features, is available on the Play Store for non-Samsung phones.

While you can use most features on any Android phone, some, like the Double Pinch Gestures, require a Samsung phone. Additionally, minor issues may arise when using non-Samsung Android phones, such as unsynced Do Not Disturb settings. Nonetheless, the Galaxy Watch 7 offers great functionality across most modern Android devices.
