Snapchat Premium, which has been available for a month and a few weeks, is beginning to roll out updates with a few extra features.
Snapchat announced on Monday that it will be adding features to Snapchat Plus. The $4.99/month service will have these new features starting from today: Post View Emojis, Priority Story Replies, exclusive Bitmoji backgrounds, and new app icons.
With the Post View Emoji feature, users of Snapchat Plus can select the emoji that will be displayed after their friends have viewed a Snap they have sent. Priority Story Replies boost the visibility of your replies to a Snap Star’s content. (A Snap Star is a Snapchat account that belongs to a public figure or a creator and has been verified. These accounts are marked with a star icon.)
Additionally, Bitmoji backgrounds that are only available to Snapchat Plus subscribers are now available in gold and beach-themed themes. The final new feature that is now accessible to subscribers is the option to change the icon’s appearance on your Snapchat app.
According to Snapchat, Snapchat Plus subscribers can expect to see even more new features “in the coming months.”
At first, Snapchat Plus was only accessible in a select few nations.
It is now accessible in the following nations: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Belgium, Finland, and Austria. However, it has recently expanded quite a bit.
