Callum Hudson-Odoi’s stunning second-half strike gave Nottingham Forest a surprise 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield. Liverpool dominated early on, with Luis Diaz hitting the post in the 17th minute, but their attack lacked cohesion, and they struggled to convert chances. In the 72nd minute, Forest capitalized on Liverpool's wastefulness. Anthony Elanga sent a brilliant crossfield pass to Hudson-Odoi, who cut inside and curled a superb shot past Alisson. Liverpool, who had won their first three games under Arne Slot without conceding, appeared out of ideas as they chased an equalizer. A late Virgil van Dijk header went over, sealing Forest's shock victory.
