Despite this, Manchester United looked strong even after falling behind. Winger Rodri outpaced Harry Amass, leading to a scrambling save by Tom Heaton, but Iker Losada tapped in the rebound.
United quickly equalized with a penalty from Marcus Rashford, won by Amad Diallo. Amad then scored a second goal from an impressive Amass cross, followed by a third from Casemiro before halftime. The second half was quiet until Rashford limped off after a tackle by Hector Bellerin. Diego Llorente scored for Betis, but United held on for the win.
