WhatsApp for iPhone to Support Multiple Accounts Soon

1 min read

iPhone users will soon gain the ability to manage multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device, thanks to a new feature introduced in the latest beta update via Apple’s TestFlight program. This long-awaited capability, already available for Android users since 2023, will make switching between accounts seamless and eliminate the need for additional devices or parallel apps.

The update allows users to set up an additional account either as a primary account or by linking it as a companion account using a QR code. While all accounts will remain accessible within the same app, notifications, chats, settings, and backups for each will be kept distinct and independent, ensuring a streamlined user experience.

Previously, iPhone users relied on workarounds like using the WhatsApp Business app with a second phone number. However, the new feature eliminates the need for such methods, simplifying account management.

There are many reasons why users might want multiple accounts on a single phone. For example, separating work and personal communications or managing multiple businesses becomes much easier with this feature. It also benefits those who prefer to create different profiles for various social circles or interests.

First reported by WABetaInfo, this update highlights WhatsApp’s ongoing effort to enhance convenience and flexibility for its users. The feature is expected to roll out widely in the near future.
