Apex Legends Godzilla Event Starts November 10: Storm Point Changes, Skins and Rewards

Godzilla comes to Storm Point
Respawn Entertainment has announced an Apex Legends crossover with Godzilla, running from November 10 through December 1, 2026. The event brings the monster's presence to Storm Point, where environmental damage and a special weapon change the way players encounter the map. The announcement is connected to the theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero, but the event is not a playable adaptation of that film. Instead, Apex uses the franchise's characters and imagery for a limited-time mode, cosmetics and rewards. The important dates are the start on Tuesday, November 10 and the finish on December 1. Until the event begins, the announcement describes planned content rather than a mode already available to play.
A monster you survive rather than defeat
EA describes Godzilla as an enormous presence on Storm Point, looming over the environment and leaving signs of destruction. The map includes damaged buildings, burnt trees and debris following its attack. Players are not being asked to defeat Godzilla in a conventional boss fight. The official description is explicit that the monster cannot be beaten in this event: the challenge is to survive while continuing to compete against rival squads. That distinction matters because promotional art showing a giant creature can create expectations of an entirely different kind of game mode. Apex remains a competitive shooter, with the crossover modifying its environment and available rewards rather than replacing its basic structure.
A special Devotion and the heat-ray hazard
The most unusual gameplay feature involves Godzilla's Heat Ray. EA says players who venture into a blast zone before the beam strikes can find a care package containing a customised Devotion. The event version has a heat-ray attack that tracks enemies after a hit. That creates a decision around a dangerous area: a squad may choose to contest a valuable pickup, but the location is likely to attract attention. The announcement does not provide enough information to judge how powerful the weapon will be in live matches or whether one tactic will dominate the event. Those conclusions should wait for players to test it. What is confirmed is that the weapon and map hazard are central parts of the crossover.
The free and premium event passes
Apex is introducing an event pass with a free track and a premium track. EA says free participants can earn items including badges, crafting metals, trackers, event packs, experience points and an Octane skin inspired by Jet Jaguar. The premium track costs 950 Apex Coins and includes additional cosmetic rewards such as a Ghidorah 1991 Catalyst skin and a Gravity Beam Prowler skin. The difference between the tracks is important: not every item shown in the announcement is a free reward. Players should review the event pass in-game before deciding whether the premium items are worth buying. The game remains free-to-play, but the crossover includes optional purchases.
Ten character skins drawn from Godzilla history
The cosmetic lineup draws on several decades of Godzilla films. Bloodhound receives a Godzilla 2026 design, Valkyrie is associated with Mothra 2003, Wraith with Godzilla 2016 and Pathfinder with Mechagodzilla 1974. Other featured combinations include Mad Maggie and Destoroyah, Loba and SpaceGodzilla, Horizon and Godzilla 1995, Revenant and Super Mechagodzilla 1993, Catalyst and Ghidorah 1991, and Octane and Jet Jaguar. These are cosmetic appearances for Apex characters, not separate playable monsters. Nine themed weapon skins are also announced. The variety gives longtime fans references to recognise, while players unfamiliar with the films can still participate in the event's gameplay.
The Dorsal Dagger is an optional cosmetic
Another highlighted reward is the Dorsal Dagger, a universal melee cosmetic inspired by Godzilla's dorsal fins. EA says it can appear as a possible drop in Godzilla Event Packs, with a matching Death Box cosmetic available to unlock. The wording is important: a possible pack drop is not a guaranteed reward for completing a particular number of matches. Anyone considering event packs should check the official in-game descriptions and probabilities before spending money. The crossover has plenty of free participation opportunities, and it is possible to cover the event without presenting cosmetic collecting as a requirement. For most readers, the more significant gameplay changes are the altered Storm Point and the event-specific Devotion.
Twitch Drops run during the opening week
From November 10 to November 17, select Apex Legends creators will have Twitch Drops enabled. EA lists a Chibi Charmzilla weapon charm for 30 minutes of eligible viewing and a Mothra's Milestones tracker set for 60 minutes. Participants need their EA and Twitch accounts linked, and the company says rewards should appear in-game within 24 hours of the next login. These are separate from the event pass rewards and depend on watching eligible streams during the stated window. Not every stream will necessarily qualify. Players should use the official event information to check eligibility and account linking, rather than trusting unrelated messages that promise rewards through unofficial websites.
Which platforms are included
EA lists PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through the EA app, Epic Games Store and Steam. That is a broad platform rollout, but the publisher notes that online service requirements and availability can vary by territory. A persistent internet connection and EA account are required. The event begins November 10, and the publisher has not specified a universal local unlock time in the announcement used for this report. Readers in Nigeria should therefore check the game's countdown or official social channels instead of assuming the event will activate at midnight West Africa Time.
A crossover rather than a permanent new map
The event runs for a defined period, so players should not assume the altered Storm Point will remain indefinitely. The Godzilla imagery is tied to the limited-time collaboration and the release of Godzilla Minus Zero. It also arrives during the Apex Legends Cipher season, which has already brought its own changes to map rotations. Those two developments are separate stories: the Godzilla event is an announced future collaboration, while the recent E-District Night removal concerns visibility adjustments on another map. Keeping them distinct makes the schedule easier to follow. Players can look forward to the new event without confusing it with an unrelated technical patch.
What to watch when the event starts
The official announcement provides the dates, cosmetic lineup, reward structure and headline gameplay changes. It does not establish how the special Devotion will affect competitive balance or whether every map change will be universally liked. Those are questions for the event itself. The clearest approach is to check the live event pass, see which rewards are free and experience the Storm Point changes before drawing conclusions. Apex Legends' Godzilla event runs November 10 to December 1, giving players several weeks to participate. Official source: https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/apex-legends/news/godzilla-event .
