Causes Of Infertility In Men

Infertility is the inability to conceive and give birth even after trying so hard. Research found that about 60% male partner are more infertile than the female ones.

1. Heat

Consumption of alcohol does more harm than good when you think of it. Getting drunk on alcohol or even taking it in moderation is seen to have many complications when it comes to fertility in both men and women.

Alcohol affects the amount of sperm production, the shape and even motility- ability to move. If the sperm cells are immotile then it is impossible for it to travel up and meet the ovum or egg for fertilization to occur.

Drinking alcohol causes Increased estrogen levels, which lowers sperm production, and reduced levels of testosterone, follicle stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone all have an impact on fertility. 3. Stress

Research found that the hormones glucocorticoids, which can lower testosterone levels and sperm production, may be released in response to stress. Also, the sperm cell released is likely to be impaired and immotile which will make reproduction impossible.

It is advisable to know how to manage you stress properly because stress is inevitable.

4. Regular Intercourse

This doesn’t have a direct impact on infertility at it may seem. However, having frequent intercourse can reduce the quality of the sperm cells which is something worth concern.

5. Pesticides

Endocrine disrupting chemicals are substances that can interfere with the production, secretion, transport, activity, or removal of endogenous hormones.

Pesticides are one of those chemicals. have a number of ways that they can harm the male reproductive system from which includes; Reproductive toxicity with immediate cell structure destruction, DNA structure changes that result in gene mutations that may result in birth abnormalities or infertility.

It is advisable to make use of proper shield garments so as to reduce the risks to exposure.

Other causes include smoking, hormonal imbalance and even blockage of vessels that transport the sperm.
