Although Ivan Toney pulled a goal back for Brentford, Cody Gakpo extinguished any hopes of a comeback with a late strike after a defensive mistake by Samon Ghoddos. Despite Brentford’s spirited efforts, Liverpool emerged victorious with a final score of 3-1.
