Namibia made history with their first Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) victory, defeating Tunisia in the Group E opener. In an impressive display, the Brave Warriors secured the win with Deon Hotto’s close-range header in the 89th minute at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo. Namibia had previously struggled in nine AFCON matches, but this victory boosts their chances of advancing to the knockout stage. Despite Tunisia’s numerous chances, they couldn’t beat inspired goalkeeper Lloyd Kazapua. Namibia now faces South Africa and Mali in the group stage with newfound hope.
