Young, Bold & Disrupting Nigeria’s Internet Space: Meet Amin Moh, Founder of SkyPro Internet
In an industry traditionally dominated by well-funded conglomerates and long-standing institutions, one young entrepreneur is rewriting the rules. Amin Moh is the founder and CEO of SkyPro Internet, a rising Internet Service Provider (ISP) that’s making reliable broadband accessible to underserved communities in Nigeria starting from the heart of Abuja.
But this isn’t just a story about a new company. It’s a story about youth, disruption, and building infrastructure from the ground up with the audacity to challenge the status quo.
The Start of Something Different
When Amin launched SkyPro Internet at age 22, he wasn’t coming from a telecom giant or an executive background. Instead, he had a deep understanding of user frustrations, he lived them. As a developer and one of Nigeria’s early YouTubers, Amin often struggled with slow upload speeds, unstable connections, and expensive data plans.
“I didn’t just want better internet for myself, I wanted it for everyone around me,” he explains. “It’s hard to build anything digital in Nigeria when your foundation, the internet, is weak.”
This desire to build something better quickly evolved into a bold idea: to create a customer-first ISP, tailored specifically to the needs and realities of Nigerian homes and businesses.
A Gen Z Approach to Telecom
What makes SkyPro Internet stand out isn’t just its pricing or packages, it’s the mindset behind the brand. As a Gen Z entrepreneur, Amin brings a fresh, user-centric approach to a space that often lags behind in innovation.
“We’ve grown up with the internet,” he says. “We understand what people expect speed, transparency, and simplicity.”
SkyPro Internet customers can access support via WhatsApp, manage their accounts through a digital portal, and receive flexible billing options. It’s a far cry from the long queues, vague pricing, and unreachable support lines common with legacy providers.
SkyPro Internet is also nimble expanding into new estates and communities faster than its larger competitors. And with each expansion, Amin’s team builds not just coverage, but trust.
Building from the Ground Up
Without massive capital or inherited infrastructure, SkyPro grew organically. Amin strategically reinvested earnings, negotiated smart vendor deals, and prioritized customer satisfaction as a growth tool.
“Our customers are our marketing,” he says. “We’ve grown largely by word-of-mouth. People recommend us because we deliver, not because we shout the loudest.”
SkyPro Internet’s base stations now serve hundreds of homes and SMEs across Abuja, and the company is actively planning its next expansion phases both within the capital and into nearby regions.
Recognition and Momentum
In 2024, Amin’s efforts were recognized on a continental scale when he won the Techpreneur of the Year (Under 30) award at the FOYA Awards. The recognition validated SkyPro Internet’s mission, but for Amin, it also spotlighted the power of youth in building real infrastructure.
“When people think of tech in Nigeria, they often think of apps or crypto,” he says. “But broadband reliable, affordable, well-supported internet is the foundation for all of that. And it’s time young people take the lead in building it.”
Looking Ahead
With a clear mission and growing momentum, Amin’s next goal is scaling SkyPro Internet without compromising on quality. He’s also exploring new innovations to further improve access and affordability.
“My dream is for SkyPro to become a national brand that people genuinely trust,” he shares. “Not just because we say the right things, but because we’ve been there, delivering real service, solving real problems.”
As Nigeria pushes toward a more digital future, voices like Amin Moh’s remind us that innovation isn’t just in code or capital, it’s in conviction. And with SkyPro Internet, he’s proving that young Nigerians don’t just consume the internet, they can build it too.
