CyberPunk 2077 Finally Launched

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The upgrades were supposed to be released last year, but CD Projekt Red decided to postpone them until early 2022. Owners of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will receive a free upgrade to the current-gen version.

A free trial version of the game will be available, as well as free DLC and a massive 50GB 1.5 patch for all platforms.

We were shown a quest, which alternated between PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S footage of the game, during a CD Projekt Red stream about the new versions and 1.5 patch. Whereas the Xbox version will be a patch upgrade, PS5 users will have to download a new version of the game and transfer any existing save data from the PS4 edition.

Enemies have become more intelligent, making it easier for them to find cover. Crowds are more receptive to aggressive actions you take, and some bystanders may attack you if they feel threatened, though these changes will not affect PS4 or Xbox One owners.

Other significant enhancements include the ability to change V’s appearance in the middle of the game, with a variety of new hair colors, lipstick options, and other options. There are also four new home bases to rent, each with the ability to easily customize apartment themes.

Cyberpunk 2077 will also be available for a five-hour free trial on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S until March 15th, with any progress made in the trial carrying over to the full game if you decide to purchase it. As of this writing, the full game is available for $25 on the PlayStation Store and $30 on the Xbox Store, making it a bargain on consoles.
