Phil Foden, the league’s player of the season, scored two brilliant early goals, creating a festive atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium. However, West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus briefly reignited their hopes with a stunning bicycle kick before halftime.
Rodri sealed the win for City with a low shot from outside the area in the 59th minute, securing Pep Guardiola’s team their sixth title in seven years. Fans celebrated enthusiastically, chanting, “Champions again!” and “Are you watching Arsenal?”
In one of the closest title races in Premier League history, Arsenal needed City to drop points to claim the championship. Despite Arsenal’s 2-1 victory against Everton, they finished two points behind City, rendering their win insufficient to overtake the champions.
