OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus 12 in China, with plans for a global release. Preorders for the flagship phone are now open in the US, and sales will commence on February 7. While the pricing for the global market is yet to be confirmed, the US launch is expected to be in line with the OnePlus 11, which initially cost $699/$799 based on specifications. The OnePlus 12 offers two variants: a base model with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM, and a higher-spec version featuring 512GB storage and 16GB RAM. Both models are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and boast three rear cameras, including a 64-megapixel sensor with 3x optical zoom.
The 6.82-inch display stands out with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. OnePlus emphasizes class-leading cooling for effective heat management during intense gaming sessions. The phone comes in two colors: silky black and flowy emerald, with the latter featuring a distinctive greenish hue and wavy pattern under the glass finish. While the design exudes flagship sophistication, the glass finish may make the phone slippery.
OnePlus reintroduces wireless charging to the OnePlus 12, offering 50W charging speeds when used with the proprietary AirVOOC charger. In addition to the impressive wired 80-watt charging capability, capable of a full charge in approximately 30 minutes, these charging features enhance the phone’s versatility and appeal to users seeking fast and efficient charging options.
