5. Genetic

Some people may be more prone to carrying excess weight around their midsection due to genetic factors. If either of your parents have excess weight then there’s are high possibility for the child to grow having much weight which will also result to belly fat.

Other causes of belly fat include hormonal imbalance, lack of muscle mass, certain medications, poor sleeping habit etc.
